MARGOT TROUVÉ
Actress. Writer. Content Creator. Creative.

ABOUT ME!
Hi! I’m Margot Trouvé — actor, writer, and social media content creator/manager.
My theater journey began at the ripe age of 4 when my mom signed me up for theater camp — yes, just like the movie. Growing up in DC, I trained (and eventually taught!) at places like Imagination Stage, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Studio Theatre, Round House, and Theatre Lab. I also spent two magical summers at Stagedoor Manor, where I won Best Actress both years and lived the life so clearly painted by Ben Platt (tear stick included).
I studied theater at the University of Maryland (GO TERPS!!) where I earned a Big Phat Juicy Theater BA™️. I basically lived in the costume shop, scene shop, and black box, dabbling in everything from experimental projection design to stage combat. I was in deep, baby.
While at UMD, I wrote four plays, had two short plays produced (shoutout Fearless New Play Festival), acted in eight stage productions and three short films, co-founded The Muses (an all-female-identifying theater troupe), and launched a bi-weekly pop culture podcast with my bestie. I also worked at a video production company doing a little of everything: casting, location scouting, pitching decks, PA-ing, talent wrangling, and content creation.
After graduation, I moved to NYC and interned in the marketing department at Manhattan Theatre Club. Since then, I played Veronica in God of Carnage at ART Brooklyn and had my choreopoem A Woman Unbound featured in The Greenhouse, an experimental theater production by Floorwork Theater Company.
Right now, I’m developing a new play about gun violence in America as part of The O’Neill Studio’s inaugural playwriting program. I’m always looking for my next creative challenge, unexpected inspiration, or excuse to wear a costume in public.
Let’s make weird art and talk big feelings.
